Aaron’s professional life includes roles as an employee, a business owner, and a volunteer in non-profit organizations.
He has a unique set of skills which he will apply to his role as our township supervisor.
Aviation
Aaron’s aviation experience has given him skills in
- Reading and interpreting government regulations
- Supervising small crews with the attention to detail needed for safe operations
- Working with multiple teams (dispatchers, ground crews, air traffic controllers) to get cargo to its destination on time
Computer Consulting
Aaron’s entrepreneurial experience has given him skills in
- Helping small businesses with limited budgets use technology to do their work more efficiently
- Using the internet to improve communications within organizations
- Keeping expenses lower than revenue
Aaron has owned an independent computer consultancy since 1992. His clients include small- to medium-sized
businesses all over southeastern Michigan. The web-based services provided by his business have drawn in
additional customers from as far away as Alaska.
Aaron also served as the Bridgewater Township web site administrator and newsletter printer from 2004 to 2006.
Not-for-Profit and Foundation Governance
Aaron’s experience with non-profit organizations has given him skills in
- Mobilizing and supporting volunteers who keep organizations running
- Managing financial assets entrusted to organizations
- Conducting board meetings so that members can give their input and decisions can be made in a timely manner
Since 1999, Aaron has served as the elected president of a Michigan-based non-profit organization of 150 members.
Since 2001, he has also served as a trustee of a national foundation with more than $500,000 in assets.
Aaron also serves as the communications chairperson for the national convention of a guild with more than 3,000 members.
He has held this position since 2003.

Aaron is now employed as a DC-8 captain for a small airline based at Willow Run Airport near Ypsilanti. He holds a B.S.A.S.
(Bachelor of Science in Aviation Studies) degree from the University of North Dakota. Aaron has also completed a rigorous
FAA system safety course and is a certified flight instructor.
